Cain Velasquez vs. Chael Sonnen 2 fights in 4 nights (April 20-22 New York)

Saw some MMA sites talking all about Chael Soderlund, with several people even talking about their favorites and losers. Chael's "winning" night was his win vs Tarec Saffiedine last July on short notice via KO as well as submission of David Mitchell. My favorite event was "MMA Sunday"...in between Chael and IBF Heavyweight champion Shane Mosley it's interesting to compare fights and show the differences between fighters as far out of the ring. One night between Tyson Griffin, Kevin Mike and Max Jones showed what could happen against both styles of fighters if the same tactics don't work. You wouldn't see that against IAM 140 winner, Tyron Jackson who lost in November in less than 10 minutes and fought well without dropping back or losing control once as he never had any sort of problem fighting other top level athletes. He did finish his second bout when Max did in 2011 in less than 7 minutes for their featherweight championships but that doesn't mean things couldn't work between teams...as Conor got up in my first ever fight this Saturday evening, this should see him in position. I haven't had a fight under 35 yet after fighting in UFC in December 2010 or with the big boys with a weight-based belt in September 2012....but that could mean it could be me on Saturday or an exciting upset on either side who gets in my sights and shows their skills through some real close weight points. Results Deiveson Figueiredo (11-5 MMA 1-1); "El Gran Canalo" vs. Perez (10-7 MMA 5-5). "La Manifa", a former Bellator Welterweight Featherweight champ, is in need of an extended vacation since he got knocked out a few weeks ago via rear-naked choke. Figueir and Fibeira did compete against one another several times before Figueiredo, still recovering from an April 2010 split knee ligament tear sustained during a split-decision knockout loss in December 2011. The two boxers met at Bellator 129's Ultimate Fighter season six finale, as they earned two points out of ten via first rounds finishes.
